Harvest Time at the Ranch

Apr 4, 2025 | What’s Going On Around The Ranch

It’s harvest time at the ranch, and our crew is hard at work gathering this year’s oat crop. In the photo below, you’ll see our harvesting team loading freshly cut oats into semi-trailers, ready to be transported for storage. These oats will be stored in large fermentation bags, a process that naturally enhances their nutritional value—improving both digestibility and palatability for our cattle. Oats are a powerhouse ingredient in our cattle’s diet, offering a rich source of carbohydrates, protein, and fiber. They play a critical role in our ration blends throughout the year, helping us ensure every animal receives a balanced, nutrient-dense feed. We take great pride in sourcing 85% of our feed commodities from within just twenty miles of our ranch. This commitment to local sourcing not only supports nearby farms but also reduces our environmental impact.

Harvest season is more than just a busy time—it’s a vital part of the journey from our ranch to your plate. It’s one of the many steps we take to ensure the beef you enjoy is raised with care, quality, and sustainability at the forefront.
